Buying books

Sell us your books

An old book, a collection, or an entire library

We will appraise it, tell you what publication it is, and buy it if you wish. This is how the most interesting items end up with us—and how rare books find new owners instead of disappearing into attics.

How it works

Three steps to a deal

We are most interested in:

  • Early printed books
  • Diaspora editions
  • Banned and purged books
  • Private libraries and collections
  1. 1

    Write us

Fill out the form below or message us on Instagram. Send a few photos: the cover, the title page, and the publication details.

  2. 2

    Get an estimate

We’ll tell you what kind of publication it is and offer a price. The valuation does not commit you to anything.

  3. 3

    We’ll agree on the details

If the offer works for you, we’ll agree on how to deliver the books and receive payment.

Application

Tell us about your books

Briefly describe what you have—we’ll reply by email or give you a call.

The easiest way to send photos is by replying to our email or messaging us on Instagram.

The assessment is free and carries no obligation.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Which books are you interested in?

Above all early printed books, Ukrainian diaspora publications, books that were banned or purged from libraries, and whole private collections. If you are unsure whether your book is of interest, just write to us.

What should I send for evaluation?

Photos of the cover, title page, and copyright page, as well as images of any defects. For a listing, a few general photos of the shelves and a list of the most interesting items are sufficient.

Does the appraisal obligate you to sell?

No. We will tell you what publication it is and offer a price — the decision is yours.

Do you buy entire libraries?

Yes. It is precisely from private collections that the most interesting pieces come to us. Describe what you have, and we will arrange a convenient way for you to view the collection.

How to send the books?

Details are agreed individually: in Lviv — in person, from other cities — via Nova Poshta.
