INFORMATION

The collection was published to mark the 50th anniversary of the “Galicia” Rifle Division, formed on April 28, 1943, which after reorganization in the spring of 1945 became the 1st Ukrainian Division of the Ukrainian National Army. It includes the Division’s oath and march, greetings from Patriarch Mstyslav and Metropolitan Stefan, articles by Volodymyr Mykula, Stepan Lyubomyrskyi, Ivan Kedryn, and Bohdan Bory, memories of captivity in Italy, England, and American camps, a chronology “History of the Division in Dates,” and materials by the “Brody-Lev” Brotherhood.

The ex-libris “B. S. Ternopil” and the highlighted article by Bohdan Stasiv in the table of contents suggest that the copy belonged to the author himself or his family.
