Guaranteed as described

We describe every item in detail: year and place of publication, number of pages, format, binding, completeness — and every defect: stains, rubbing, tears, pencil marks, missing leaves. The photographs show the actual copy you will receive, not a catalogue illustration.

If a book does not match its description or photographs, return it within 14 days and we will refund the full price of the book together with shipping both ways. No arguments: if we missed something or described it inaccurately, that is our responsibility.

How to return a book

1. Write to us within 14 days of receipt and tell us what does not match the description.
2. We will agree on how to send it back. Please pack the book as securely as it reached you.
3. Once we receive the parcel, we refund you within 3 business days to the card or account you paid from.

Damage in transit

Please inspect the parcel at the carrier's office before accepting it. If the packaging or the book is damaged, do not accept the parcel and file a damage report with the carrier. Without this report the carrier will not compensate the damage and we will not be able to help with a refund.

Returns without a reason

Under Article 9 of the Law of Ukraine “On Consumer Protection” and the list approved by the Cabinet of Ministers, printed matter of proper quality cannot be exchanged or returned — this covers books, antiquarian books, periodicals, albums, maps and postcards. We therefore cannot accept “changed my mind” returns. But the guarantee above always applies, and it covers the real risk of buying an antiquarian book unseen.
